The Republic of Singapore Air Force hosted an open house event that revealed several capability upgrades on its  F-16 fighter jets.

An information board on the upgraded aircraft listed among its weaponry the Python-5 air-to-air missile from Israeli company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, as well as satellite-guided and laser-guided Joint Direct Attack Munition variants, according to Defense News.

Singapore sought the weapons integration in its 2014 Foreign Military Sales request to the United States, which also called for arming the F-16 with GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb and the CBU-105 (D-4)/B sensor fused weapon.

Other enhancements in the U.S. request included the AN/APG-83 active electronically scanned array radar, Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System, new mission computers and friend-or-foe identification technology.

The Sept. 9-10 event commemorated the RSAF’s 55th anniversary and featured static displays of its 18 different assets along with the F-16. Other aircraft on display included the F-15SG, A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport and AH-64D Apache attack helicopter.
