McLean, Virginia-based defense company HII announced that its Mission Technologies division has booked a $305 million contract from the Defense Intelligence Agency for intelligence analysis services to support United States Forces Korea in determining enemy capabilities, threats and activities in the Korean Peninsula region.

The DIA award, a recompeted with a five-year term, is an extension of a previous task order awarded in 2019, HII said. Under the contract, Mission Technologies will also assist Joint Intelligence Operations Center-Korea in using USFK’s regional and international intelligence networks to secure U.S. personnel and interests in the Korean theater of operations.

USFK draws its military component from the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. Also known as Team 19, the command has a manning complement of approximately 5,600 service personnel and is the only theater-committed, forward-deployed U.S. Army ESC.

“We are excited about the opportunity to expand our relationship with the USFK and support its important mission while working in close coordination with the joint staff, service components and intelligence agencies,” said Todd Gentry, Mission Technologies’ C5ISR business group president. “Our experts have a long history assessing and advising on national security issues and are committed to protecting U.S. regional interests.”

In November, Mission Technologies booked a three-year contract to enhance information-sharing among the Five Eyes intelligence alliance of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
