Accenture has completed its acquisition of Climb, a Japanese company that provides system integration and IT infrastructure management services to global organizations.

With the completion of the deal, Accenture absorbed 230 personnel, the majority of whom are engineers trained in cloud and security technologies and application management services.

The company said Climb’s core capabilities will help advance the digital transformation efforts of customers in Japan. As part of Accenture, the new business will also enable the organization’s local teams to continue building the country’s information communication technology industry, especially in Gunma Prefecture.

Accenture announced the Climb acquisition deal in April, an agreement Atsushi Egawa, head of Accenture’s business in Japan, had said would provide opportunities for Japanese engineers to shine on the global stage,

“We are planting more local roots through our team’s high-value work in local communities,” he added.

Established in 1989 in Maebashi, Climb caters to the management and operation of the IT infrastructure of its clients in finance, manufacturing, telecommunications and government.
