Lockheed Martin confirmed that the Polish Ministry of National Defence has approved five Wisla phase one offset projects focused on Patriot Advanced Capability-3 Missile Segment Enhancement and air and missile defense.
In partnership with local industry players Wojskowe Zaklady Elektroniczne and Wojakowe Zaklady Lotnicze Nr. 2, Lockheed helped Polish companies increase their technical capabilities and provided them with PAC-3 component manufacturing information, enabling them to take part in the PAC-3 supply chain.
“Our partnership with the Polish industrial base provides high-value jobs and a strong skills base to the Polish defense industry and opens the door to worldwide commercial opportunities,” said Robert Orzylowski, director of Poland and Central and Eastern Europe for Lockheed Martin.
According to the company, WZE secured approval for three critical PAC-3 MSE projects: the Enhanced Electronics System production project, the Junction Box production project and the Motor Controller Unit design project.
The Polish defense ministry also approved two WZL-2 projects supporting the F-16 aircraft. The F-16 Electrical maintenance and F-16 Electrical hydraulic projects are WZL-2’s final Wisla Phase 1 programs.
